Baptism
Baptism is the sacrament that incorporates an new person into the Church. For many, this sacrament is conferred when you are an infant. Parents are encouraged to Baptize their children shortly after birth. Of course, it is also possible to Baptize older children and even adults.
For infant baptisms, parents should contact the parish center (631-269-6635) as early as possible, but at least one month before the proposed date of baptism. When you contact the parish, your information will be taken and you will be enrolled in an upcoming baptism class. The classes are usually held in person on Tuesdays at 7:30pm, but are currently being conducted over Zoom. Baptisms are celebrated on first and fourth Sundays and second Saturdays of the month at 1:30 PM.
Anyone seeking Baptism and is over the age of 16 will be enrolled in the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA). Please refer to that page for more information.
