Wedding
Congratulations on your engagement. The priests and staff at St. Joseph share your joy and look forward to being a part of your special day. Please use the following links to guide you through the process of getting married at St. Joseph.
We are sure you have many questions and would like to begin the process of planning for your big day. The first step is to contact the parish center (631-269-6635) at least six months before your intended date and ask to speak to one of the priests. Please do not set a date with a reception hall until you have secured your date with us. The priest will set up an appointment with you and your fiancé. At that initial meeting, the priest will do a short interview with each of you and then give you more details about what will be needed. As part of the meeting, you will select a day and time for your wedding. You will also be given information about pre-marital formation called Pre-Cana. After you have completed Pre-Cana you can begin to plan your ceremony. There are two parts to planning your ceremony. The first part is to select your prayers and readings. You can accomplish this by contacting the priest with whom you are working and he will provide you with a booklet entitled Together for Life. This booklet has all the options for your ceremony. The priest will explain what items you need to select from this book and how to prepare the included planning sheet that will be used by the wedding hostesses at your rehearsal and by the priest the day of your wedding. If you prefer, there is an online form to fill out in conjunction with the booklet provided. The second part of your planning will be to select music that will be played during the ceremony. The second part of planning your ceremony is to select the music that will be played during the ceremony. Our music director has compiled a list of songs (see below) from which you can choose. Our music director is Deanna Muro and she would be happy to work with you on making your music selection. You can call her at 631-269-6635, x-218 or email her at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. If you are considering any other songs or musicians, please discuss it with Deanna before making any arrangements. Planning the music for your wedding ceremony is very easy. Please use the players below to sample the songs and make your selections. You will need to fill out this planning sheet and return it to Deanna before your ceremony. There are different parts of the ceremony and certain songs are appropriate to that part. After some of the samples is a code. These codes indicate where it would be appropriate to have this song. The codes are as follows: P - Processional The Church of St. Joseph has the capacity to livestream ceremonies that take place in the church. For an offering of $50.00, your wedding ceremony can be live-streamed to allow family and friends who are unable to attend in person to participate in your special day. You can arrange this by talking to the priest or contacting the parish office. The livestream will be added to the schedule and will begin automatically a few minutes before the ceremony is scheduled to start. Please note that the video file remains in the archive for 1 month.
