     Lectors assist at our parish masses and liturgies by proclaiming the Word of God. The current schedule for active lectors is posted above.

   Trainings for those interested in becoming lectors are done in-house on an as needed basis with occasional enrichment workshops provided by the diocese. Simply contact Randi at the above information if interested or for other inquiries.

  To be an effective lector calls for adequate preparation that includes study, prayer, and practice. Lectors are called to a deep relationship with God, especially as He is made manifest in the Bible. As one can imagine, having decent public speaking skills is important, but what is more valuable to the ministry is this relationship that will ultimately be expressed through the lector's proclamation of Sacred Scripture.
